Improving my Italian at VIS
Hello! My name is Sofia, and I’m a student from Vienna. In July, I participated in a summer school organized by Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. After that experience, I wanted to continue practicing my Italian, so I decided to take some lessons at the Venice Summer School. Although I had studied Italian before, I was worried I wouldn't be able to speak at all. However, this one week really helped me overcome that fear. It was amazing to practice speaking Italian every day in a small group. Now, I’m able to participate in simple conversations and feel more motivated to continue learning actively. All the teachers I met were very kind. Not only did they explain grammar clearly, but they also had a lot of creative games prepared to help us practice speaking. I can’t wait to return to Venice and improve my Italian at this school again!

Loved the individualized instruction!
This is an excellent place to study Italian in Venice! The biggest advantage is the small group sizes - I studied here for four weeks, and there was never any more than three people in my group. They also offer individual lessons, which I found to be very helpful. I will definitely be coming back here when I’m able to return to Venice again!

Always wonderful!
Diego, the director of the Venice Italian School, arranged for me to have private lessons at his excellent school. I had visited the school many times over the years to improve my Italian. My teacher this time was Michela, a super-cool Venezian, who taught me so much--not only about grammar but many other topics.
